Despite their tin size, chia seeds are rich in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, minerals, and antioxidants. They are naturally cholesterol free and a great source of dietary fibre. When compared to flaxseeds, chia seeds provide more omega 3, phosphorus and fibre. When soaked in water they absorb the liquid, turning into a jelly-like substance due to the soluble fibre they contain, helping us stay full longer while at the same time decreasing sugar levels in our blood!
